Combat Summary

In terms of game-play, one can think of Plutia as a mage, with both healing and damaging skills at her disposal. Like any typical mage, Plutia can deal high amounts of magical damage but is as fragile as a toothpick. Plutia's arsenal consists of lots of high-damage moves, some AoEs, lots of debuffs, a few buffs, and some healing. Unlike traditional mages, Plutia will most often be a lot closer to the enemy since her weapon is normally only melee range, with it being only slightly farther at best.

In terms of stats other than damage and defense, Plutia has average TEC and LUK, but her agility is slow compared to the melee oriented fighters, so her turns often come later. Plutia's attacks most often consist of lighting or null elemental abilities, sans the combo attacks she gets early game for each of the three other elements. They're fine in the beginning, but quickly get out shined by her stronger lightning combos. Plutia also has a ton of debuffs, ranging from SP skills to EXE drives, able to hinder enemies to great extents. This is essential in fighting bosses in order to do more damage and take less damage too. Due to Plutia's ability to do high damage, she'll hit the Damage limit fairly early, so Break Damage Limit is essential. It's also vital to equip her with gear to recharge her SP, not only so she can dish out those debuff inducing skills, but also so she can heal the parts. In terms of healers, she's not as good as Rom, but she's more well rounded, acting more like a red mage rather than a white mage.

One of Plutia's passives is immunity to viruses, useful for those few times HDD isn't available because of the pesky Virus ailment. An important thing to note about Plutia is second support ability to increase the EXP gained from her partner. This is good for gaining levels, however, once you reach the level cap, the ability becomes useless and it is more recommended to use characters who will give two useful abilities as support.

As a side note, all of Plutia's attacks change in animation upon activating HDD. Note, this is completely cosmetic, skills don't change attributes after HDD, they only get stronger from the stat increase that HDD naturally brings. However, it is a little disorienting when you all the skills change their names as well, but it's easy to get used to and the skills are all still in the same place.
